The Water Authority’s governing board held its first meeting of 2018 on January 24, welcoming three new members and selecting as its chairperson City Councilor Trudy Jones, who has served as chairperson on two previous boards. Board members selected County Commissioner Debbie O’Malley to serve as vice-chair.
The Water Authority board consists of the Mayor of Albuquerque (or his or her designee), three Albuquerque City Councilors, and three Bernalillo County Commissioners. An eighth, non-voting member represents the Village of Los Ranchos. City Councilors and County Commissioners are appointed to serve by their respective elected bodies.

The Water Authority’s governing board typically meets at 5 p.m. on the third or fourth Wednesday of each month in the Vincent E. Griego Council Chambers in the basement of the City/County Government Center at One Civic Plaza. A meeting schedule and agendas can be found here.
